What is BeadFuse?
BeadFuse is a free online bead pattern generator. Upload a photo — a pet, a game sprite, a drawing — and it becomes a grid chart where every square is a real bead color you can buy: Perler, Hama, or any fuse bead brand.
Unlike generic photo-to-pixel tools, BeadFuse is built for physical beads. It uses perceptual color matching (CIEDE2000, the same formula used in print color management) against measured bead colors, so the pattern you iron looks like the photo you uploaded. A color merge slider trims near-duplicate colors so a 3-bead color doesn't force you to buy a whole bag.

The pattern is only the start
Review the source and grid together, pick a real Perler or Hama palette, merge similar colors, account for the beads you already own, and export a build-ready PDF.

Free patterns, fresh off the pegboard
Every design is a free printable PDF chart with real bead color codes and exact counts.
How to make a bead pattern in 3 steps
- 1
Upload a photo
JPG, PNG, or WebP. Transparent backgrounds become empty pegs automatically — great for sprites and stickers.
- 2
Tune your pattern
Set the width in beads, pick Perler or Hama colors, merge similar shades, and even limit the pattern to only the colors you own.
- 3

Built for bead crafters, not just pixels
Real bead color matching
195 measured Perler and Hama colors with perceptual (CIEDE2000) matching — no more patterns that look right on screen but wrong on the board.
Bead shopping list
Every color's exact count, sorted by usage. Know whether you need one bag of black or three before you start.
Smart edge handling
Dominant-color sampling keeps outlines crisp instead of smearing dark edges into muddy halos — the most common failure of photo converters.
Use only your colors
Tap out the colors you don't own and the pattern re-matches instantly to your actual bead stash.
Board-by-board PDF
Patterns bigger than one pegboard are split into labeled 29×29 boards with coordinates, so large projects stay manageable.
Private by design
Conversion happens in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded, stored, or used for anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is BeadFuse really free?
Yes. Converting photos, matching bead colors, and downloading the PDF chart are free with no account and no watermark. Optional Pro credits only power AI pattern generation — the core converter stays free forever.
Does my photo get uploaded to a server?
No. The whole conversion runs inside your browser — your photo never leaves your device. That's also why the sliders feel instant.
What do I get in the PDF?
A cover page with a preview, one page per pegboard section (with row and column numbers so you can follow along), and a legend page with every color's code, name, and exact bead count.
Which bead brands does it support?
Perler (103 colors) and Hama midi (92 colors) today, with Artkal and more color systems on the roadmap. Any 5mm fuse bead works with either chart.
How big can my pattern be?
Up to 100 beads wide. Larger patterns are automatically split into standard 29×29 pegboard sections in the PDF.
